Its being like a million years just waiting for the announcement that an untethered jailbreak would be available for all devices. If not for the delay tactics and games that Apple have been playing in the release of the iOS6.1 officially, there would have been a public release of the tool to jailbreak iOS6.1 untethered on all devices. Apple on Sunday last week released a copy of iOS6.1 but not publicly even though it carries the look and build of the final version the OS. Perhaps, this was done in the hope that the exploit needed for the untethered jailbreak will leak out and then Apple can patch those exploits. Apple has released four betas for the iOS 6.1 and we are awaiting the release of the final and Gold Master version of iOS 6.1 According to the popular hackers (Planetbeing, pod2g, Musclenerd, Pimskeks) working to get untethered jailbreak for iOS 6, substantial progress have been made to get all required exploits needed to jailbreak iOS 6 untethered for both A4 devices and newer devices. This conclusion is made in the light of recent tweets (images below) of these brilliant hackers. However, the only reason it's still not released to the public is because Apple haven't released iOS 6.1 yet. iOS 6.1 should be released anytime from 28th January. Four months after iOS 6 is released, there's still no public release of untethered jailbreak for idevices except for old bootrom iPhone 3GS. All other devices with the A4 processor have only tethered jailbreak while newer devices have no jailbreak at all. However, with recent news from Pod2g and Planetbeing, it thus suggest that an untethered jailbreak will soon be released for even newer devices . This assumption is as a result of the tweets that were made by these two individuals earlier today. iOS 6.1 should be dropping anytime soon, therefore, it will be wiser for the untethered jailbreak exploits to be held unto until iOS 6.1 is finally released to know how much changes Apple have made and how it will affect the already achieved progress of these wonderful hackers. Whichever, its very comforting to know that good progress on untethered jailbreak is being achieved and that very soon a public release of this jailbreak will become available.

UPDATE Samsung Galaxy S3 is barely 6 months old and that's a long time in the technology industry. You can't begin to count the amount of phones that have been released within these last 6 months. Samsung is set to release there next generation of S series phone tagged the Galaxy S4. Even though the S2 and S3 are still strong contender in the market, rumor has it that Samsung will be releasing an S4 to the market in April. According to various reports, Galaxy S4 will have a 5 inch screen display and better resolution than the predecessor which will exceed the iPhone 5's display.
