Infinix X501 Smartphone Full Review


There's a plethora of smartphones being released in a year that it's almost impossible to keep up with these smart devices. Even from the same manufacturer, one can sometimes not take note of very good and quality smartphone due to the flagship device overshadowing other devices until you come across one.

Luckily, we happen to come across a very solid smartphone manufactured by Infinix known as the Infinix Race Jet or simply Infinix X501 which was released in early October 2013. Below is a detailed review of the Infinix Race Jet alongside a video review here


Form Factor
The first time I came across the X501, I was immediately fascinated by its simplicity and handiness. In fact it was so pretty I had to ask the owner of the device. It looks quite exquisite, feminine yet capable enough to do a man's job if you know what I mean.
The Infinix race Jet which weighs just 0.776w/kg has a sleek and slender which is very stylish. Its comfortable to hold without putting a weight on the hand.

SIM and Connectivity
Race Jet is a dual SIM, dual standby smartphone equipped with 3G (850/2100MHz) and 2G (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) network capabilities. The SIM one is mini (full size) SIM slot while SIM two is a micro SIM slot. This means that the device is capable of working in 2G anywhere in the world.

In terms of connectivity, X501 has a WiFi and WiFi Hotspot connectivity feature so that one is able to connect to WiFi networks or turn the phone to a mini wireless router. Furthermore, Bluetooth 3.0 won't be found wanting on this device so you can be sure that Bluetooth connection can be used to share files and also hands-free devices can be connected to it.
Finally, USB port is present on the device which allows for charging the device battery and also for connecting to computer in other to transfer files between phone and PC.

Display and Resolution
Infinix x501 is a 5 inch smartphone with very nice display. I remember the display catching my attention when I first saw it. Images are sharp and colours are vibrant. 

Infinix x501 comes with a resolution 720 x 1024 which is very good for a 5 inch display. Its has a IPS QHD touchscreen display that has a 250PPI.

Processor and Operating System
Infinix X501 comes with a quad core 1.2GHz processor which powers the operating system of the device and also make sure that computations are smooth and efficient.

The quad core processor is able to hands the operating system well. The operating system is Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 so there won't be issues with installing popular apps including BlackBerry messenger.

Internal Memory and RAM
Infinix X501 comes with a 4GB internal memory for storing files. However, in the event that this storage isn't enough, there is room to expand the memory with the help of SD card slot. The SD card slot supports memory card up to 32GB clearly allowing you to save more files to your phone.

As for RAM, I was not disappointed when i found out that he Infinix Race Jet comes with a 1GB RAM. With a 1GB RAM, the Infinix Race Jet smartphone is able to run applications considerably well.

Camera
The infinix Race Jet comes with 8.0 mega pixel BSI-AF rear camera with a powerful flash light for taking pictures in low-light areas. Also, the front camera is 1.3 mega pixel which is useful for video calls and selfie images.

Image quality is sharp and the resolution is quite very high, which is good for those image taking peeps.

Battery
Infinix Race Jet comes with 2000mAh battery power which is okay to keep things running for a substantial amount of time depending on your activities on the device. 

Price
Currently, Infinix Race Jet cost between N32,000 - N34,000 depending on the store you are buying from. Also, on buying the device, you get a free flip cover.
