Comparison Between Tecno R7 smartphone and Infinix Zero Smartphone

Tecno R7 have been in the market for a while now and its still selling in numbers due to the good features it comes packed with. Therefore we are putting it side by side with Infinix's newly announced smartphone known as the Infinix Zero which is scheduled for release in the 2nd week of August 2014.

Infinix devices have always been regarded as one with a premium feel and in the real market sense, its one of those devices that tries to get market share from Tecno.

In our usual fashion, we provide you with a color coded table with the basic specifications of the smartphones and then make small comments on some of the specs.

The Green coloured box specify a spec that is considered a strength relative to the other smartphone and in similar fashion, the lilac coloured box shows a weakness with respect to the other device.

As for Tecno R7, the operating system its shipped with from the manufacturer is Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 but can be upgraded to KitKat. However, the Infinix Zero comes with a KitKat 4.4.2 right from the box.

From the spec comparison, it should be easy to determine which of the devices is better and why one should get the other based on specs only. That being said, you should keep in mind that Tecno offers a powerbank, a smart phone case which can of course be a reason to go for the Tecno R7.

At this time, the Infinix Zero isn't available for sale so we don't know for sure if it will come with a free smart cover and a powerbank. Also, for the same reason we can't compare processor benchmark values for both devices but it will be added as soon as the Infinix Zero becomes available.

One area that the Infinix Zero gets our attention is in the price and we can say that for a N15,800 margin with respect to Tecno R7, one can easily buy a powerbank (because battery power is really quite low) and a flip case and still have some change.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the Infinix Zero is a good catch and a worthy contender? Drop your comments below.

Of course, a full review of the Infinix Zero would be done once we have the device in our hands.

How To Root Tecno Phantom A (Tecno F7)

There are no limit to the possibilities one can achieve on a rooted Android device compared to one that isn't rooted. As you know, Rooting is to Androin as Jailbreak is to iOS. For those that don't know what rooting means, a little definition will suffice. Rooting basically means that you install a set of programs on your phone that gives you total control over your device. Total control means that you have the right to install any applications or even delete core applications that you don't want.  Simply put, you have administrative rights over your device, giving  you super user access, and of course, you can use DroidVPN to have free unlimited internet. The guide below shows how you can root Tecno Phantom A also known as Tecno F7 and its super easy to achieve. Don't forget to like us on Facebook. Requirements 1. Computer with internet connection 2. Infinix Alpha Ultimate Force Smartphone: Pros and Cons

Okay, we know Infinix is really gearing up now and are working tirelessly to bring nice smartphones to its loyal customers especially in Nigeria. That being said, a new Infinix smartphone is now with the name Infinix Alpha or X570 which comes right after the Infinix Race Max Q . One cannot really say how successful the Race Max Q was, but it could be safe to assume that it did below expectations seeing how Tecno Phantom A and A+ dominated the market scene in Nigeria and other African countries where they operate. So, what is in this Infinix Alpha that can change the table in favour of Infinix this time around? See  the specifications below to get you started. A video review also available here Infinix Alpha is a 5.7 inch capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280, 12 mega pixel rear camera plus 5 mega pixel front camera with 1GB of RAM and a 1.2GHz Quad core processor and Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1  smartphone. Tecno M3 Specifications and Features

Tecno is making the news again after a slight break. This time around Tecno have released a low-end smartphone called Tecno M3 for those that are on a tight budget.  This phone comes with 8GB internal memory card, USB adapter & charger, earphone and a plastic case. Although Tecno L3 and D3 are almost the same with M3, M3 has a better camera (5mp) with more swift feel especially when browsing. L3 on the other hand has a better battery performance but much slower internet speed. As we said in one of our posts, the 3 is a designation for low-end devices and the newly released L3 and M3 is proof of that. For a device of the price, feel and usage is smooth enough. Make sure you check the speaker of your M3 since some have reported that its not too clear. Below is the specifications of the M3 low-end smartphone. Network : the new M3 supports both 2G and 3G networks Connectivity : Bluetooth 3.0 with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). It also has
