Gionee P3 Smartphone Specs and Features

Gionee is one of the names that's beginning to get some international recognition in the smartphone industry; no small thanks to the high quality of the Gionee E6 & E7 smartphones. However, before Gionee E7 there was Gionee P3 which is low end smartphone but with very good specifications and features when compared with other smartphones in the same price bracket. Gionee P3 is a phone with 4.3" capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, along with a VGA front camera. Additional camera features include gesture hrecognition, face detection, smile detection, geo-tagging, eraser functioning, panoramic view, and touch-to-focus. The dual-SIM, dual standby smartphone is supported by 1700 mAh battery. At the end of this phone review, you would agree with me that this device is better than some other low end ...

Expectations For 2014 In The Smartphone Industry

Finally, the old year 2013 is gone, it has become history, one we have to refer to in the past tense.  It didn't go without a lot of notable events either good or bad.  In 2013, there was rise and fall of individuals, products and companies. Some products stood out and some that didn't really raise eyebrows.  In January 2013, BlackBerry unveiled its BlackBerry 10 range of devices, the Z10 and Q10 which at first seemed like a flop but quickly gathered momentum and steadily rising to its success stage, Nokia also started with the Lumia series with Lumia 520 releasing in February. Samsung didn't waste time in announcing their Samsung Galaxy S4 in March while Google announced their Moto X for August and one of the most anticipated release of 2013 was the iPhone 5S which was announced in September.  Also in September, October and November, Infinix Mobility, the French company released the Infinix X570 and Infinix X520 smartphones respectively ...

Infinix Mobility: The Way Forward

Infinix , formerly known as Sagem is a smattphone and tablet manufacturing company that currently has 6 market locations which are France, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Currently, Infinix have permeated the Nigerian market well enough alongside Tecno and are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian smartphone market. Furthermore, their 3 mobile devices product line are Tablet, Smartphone and a Phablet. The latest and flagship phablet is the 5.7 inch Infinix Alpha which is already pulling weight and bringing in the cash daily. However, the competition is ever strong especially from the likes of Tecno-Mobile, Samsung and HTC who are currently controlling a good amount of market share on the Nigeria smartphone industry. So, what can Infinix do to further increase their fan base and market share? 1. Create more products with good specifications and features. This is of course already on ground and its the reason they are still in busine...

Samsung Is Doing Everything To Extinct BlackBerry

It is very clear by now that Blackberry is seriously grasping for breath in the smartphone market. All efforts to resuscitate the dying company is not yielding any significant fruit yet. BlackBerry have been the device of choice for the US FBI agent for a while now.  One could say that it's still one of the reasons Blackberry is still relevant in a way.  However, it seems that privilege is about to end soon with the steps that Samsung is taking with the FBI. It had been reported that Samsung want to conclude a deal that would make the FBI with over 30,000 employees to ditch Blackberry devices for Samsung devices. If this should happen, Blackberry would be in deep mess. Once the FBI sees Samsung devices as the device of choice, it would mean bigger sales for the Korean company. All other agencies,  Navy, Airforce etc will follow sooth. Security agencies all over the world would believe that Samsung devices have all the security that is needed and that would further put...

An Android Based Nokia Phone

Is Nokia fairing well in the face of this fierce competition in the Smartphone Industry? The competition in the smartphone industry is very fierce. It is not a place for a weak company to venture into at all if you are not ready to do and make drastic powerful choices. Former powerful companies like Nokia, Blackberry, Sagem etc which have given way to Apple Inc. and Samsung used to dominate the phone industry have fallen and have fallen even more because of this fierce competition going on at this point in time. The devices of these fallen heroes are no more demanded in great quality. People now can't wait to get theirs hands on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One. Nokia and Blackberry isn't in the list. What if Nokia had gone the Android way just like Samsung , HTC etc? Would the company be in a better situation? As of this writing, Apple Inc. is dominating the smartphone market, raking in money by the minute. In fact, the fate of the Phone industry to...
