A lot of people get mad when they text someone and no reply is seen however parents hates it even more when they send SMS to their wards without a response especially when it's an emergency.  Well, one mom decided it's high time she  did something about the issue; consequently she resorted to building a smartphone app that will shut down the phone if her text message is ever ignored or not replied.  According to the mom - Standifird, "I need to develop an app that shuts down the phone and you can't even use it".  She calls the name of the "Ignore No More" and it allows parents to remotely lock their children's phone remotely when their calls/text messages are ignored.  Although, this is a good thing however what if the child is driving or doing something which makes him incapable of replying at that point in time? One of them is Notability which has caught the attention of an increasing number of people since it was first release.  Notability is a note taking app that is well designed and useful. The only thing was that this app was on the expensive side; costing $4.99. Well, that price is no longer valid for a limited time. Good news are always fun to hear and today we give you one more good news for the BlackBerry 10 users out there. Temple Run OZ native BB10 app is now available for Download.   Temple Run is one of those games you would enjoy playing during a free time, on the train, in the bus etc and the OZ version packs in more fun. For what looks like forever, Viber would now be available for BlackBerry 10 devices.  Initially, the team behind Viber says they won't be bringing their Viber app to BlackBery even though they initially had the idea since October 2013. But, new news reaching us now points to Viber becoming available to BlackBerry users soonest.  For those that don't know what Viber is: it's an app that does VoIP and messaging just like the likes of Skype. BlackBerry have released an update to their popular BBM app for Android and iPhone. According to Jeff Gardaway, head of product and brand marketing for BBM, BBM now includes a new Find Friends feature that allows you to discover people you know that are also using BBM and invite them to your BBM contact list, from within the app.  The Find Friends feature will detect which contacts in your smartphone’s contact list are already using BBM, and allow you to quickly send them an invite to join your BBM contact list. For those contacts that don’t yet have BBM, you can invite them to download the app with an email or SMS invite. This is not a bad development and update from BlackBerry. All kinds of messaging apps are out there all struggling to catch the attention of a lot of folks. Few ones however are doing pretty well. Among them is Google's Hangout, BiteSMS etc. One in particular that caught our attention is an app called EvolveSMS for Android devices and created by Jake Klinker. Nokia Lumia users can now have folders on their home screen just like other smartphones from other devices do.  Naturally, all apps are arranged on the home screen without the ability to put these apps in folders for organisation and cleanness sake. However, Nokia has now made the ability to get folders on their handsets by releasing a dedicated app to achieve that. This app called App Folder can be downloaded from the App Store (link placed at the bottom of page). Initially, this ability was reserved for Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925 when the Lumia Black software update is installed. However, Nokia deemed it fit that other Nokia Lumia phones should have the feature or app too on their devices which eventually led to the release of a dedicated app. What this ultimately means is that you can gather similar apps an put them in a folder so that things can get very organised on the home screen and also less clustered. Few weeks back, we talked about an Android intelligent lockscreen app called Cover. The app is a smart lock screen that would display apps on your locked screen based on where you are at the moment. For example, if you are driving, your locked screen would contain apps like Google Maps, Email app and maybe Phone app to allow you quickly get things done. However, if you are in a different place, your locked screen would contain other set of applications relative to where you are located. Months back, Google pushed out minor updates that to most android phones giving them opportunity to track, remote wipe and locate their phones.  To an extent, this was a step in the right direction to officially have an Android security tool from Google.  Usually, to activate this security feature, one has to go into phone Settings/Security/Device Administrators which could be difficult to locate for some. Angry Birds had been a success story from day 1 and it has continue to evolve with newer names and game format. However, Angry Birds Go is a totally different story altogether from the previous ones. Gmail app for Android gets an upgrade which comes with new features. The new feature includes a vacation responder that will let fellow colleagues know that you are off the clock. This is a good feature since we are getting close to the holiday season, Google is trying to help make the holiday a work-free one.
