Google translate is one of the old Google apps that I have always used when I started learning the Italian language. Translation was very good compared to other apps, even Samsung S Translation wasn't good enough for me.

Why use Google Translate app? Imagine finding yourself traveling to a place where you can't understand their language but you need to communicate, Google Translate, can be very useful in this situation. One good thing is that you don't data connection when you are using the offline mode.

To use Google Translate in offline mode, follow the steps below.

1. Tap on the 3 vertical dots on the right - top corner of the screen to reveal certain menus.

2. Tap on Settings which will then reveal other menus

3. Tap on Manage offline languages

4. Next, to make Google Translate a language in offline, download the language pack by tapping the pin icon. for example in the image below, Italian language pack is being downloaded.

5. You can select as many languages to download as you like.

6. Once you have finished downloading, the language translate can work without any internet connection.

Happy translation as long as you like.
