BlackBerry Fires CEO Thorstens Heins And Appoints Interim CEO

BlackBerry today announced that its replacing, more like fired its CEO Thorsten Heins and to be succeeded in the interim by John S Chen, who was the former CEO of Sybase.

John S Chen is currently a director at both Wells Fargo and Disney. He was the chairman at Sybase where he transformed the company in a big way before it was sold to SAP.

What we know so far is that Thorsten Heins did his bit to grow the company but however had failures along the way.

John S Chen is very charismatic and more of a leader considering his outstanding track records and may be the man BlackBerry needs to make things work better than it is now.

However, we are always hear to watch how this new interim CEO will perform before a permanent CEO will eventually be announced.
