Infinix JoyPad 10 Specifications and Features

The year has began for a lot of smartphone manufacturing companies, Infinix included and we can't wait to see what they have to offer for the year 2014.

Infinix Joypad range of products that is, the Joypad 7 and 8 have done quite well in the past and one of the very newest member added to the line up is the Joypad 10.

Infinix Joypad 10 is the latest joypad released by Infinix Mobility. Although not yet available in Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, France and Australia, the device is currently available in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Specifications and Features
We have not had the opportunity to having and testing the new Joypad 10 that was recently released, but from our sources and what we can find from the web, the following are the specs and features that you would find in the tablet.

Network and SIM
The Infinix Joypad 10 is a single SIM tablet with HSPA+, 3G and 2G network capabilities. This is expected as its a full tablet and it would be unnecessary to have it use dual SIM functions. Data can be transferred at high speed reaching up to 27mpbs.

Screen and Dimensions
Infinix Joypad 10 is the first 10.1 inch tablet from the french phone maker. The device comes with a nice colourful IPS WXVGA touch screen and a stylus pen for those that would really love to use a stylus pen on the device. The device has a dimension of 256*175.5*10.9 mm which suggests that its quite slim and very handy.

Operating System and Memory
Joypad 10 comes bundled with our very good friend Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with a good and responsive interface. The device has a RAM of 1GB which is able to handle task well and smoothly.

Furthermore, the tablet comes with 16GB internal memory without a memory card slot to expand the memory. However, in these days of SD cards that can't be trusted, always ending up being corrupted thereby destroying data on them, the need for SD card slots on smart devices are dropping. Thank God for the likes of Dropbox and Google Drive etc.

Processor
The Joypad 10 comes with a quad - core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. We are currently not sure the kind of MediaTek processor embedded into the device but we know that its a Mediatek chip inside it. The fact  that its quad - core coupled with a 1GB RAM means that the device will perform well being a tab. Rendering of pages and other things won't be a problem for this great tablet.

Camera and Battery
Infinix Joypad packs in a 5mp camera for both front and back camera meaning that great images can be taken by both cameras. Also, making video or Skype calls would be great with the device and the back camera has LED flash attached at the side of the lens.

Battery capability of the Joypad is a good 7000mAh which is not bad at all. This would ensure that the device last as long as it should. Watching of movies and playing of games on  the device would really be a joyful thing.

Sensors and Connectivity
As you may have guessed, G-Sensor, Proximity sensor and magnetic sensors are the sensors you would find in the device. Also, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB connectivity are provided in the device. Apps like Facebook, Gmail and other are bundled on it so you won't have to download too much when you get the device.

Whether you are buying the Joypad 10 for entertainment purposes or for serious business activities, you would be excited at the quality and satisfaction you would get from the Infinix Joypad 10 seeing the track record of the Infinix Alpha and Alpha Marvel smartphones.

Currently no word on pricing and when it would be available for the Nigeria market but you can be sure that we would be looking out for that and we shall update this page to reflect both pricing and release date for other countries.

How To Unbrick Tecno F7 Smartphone

About a week ago, a friend rooted his Tecno Phantom A smartphone. He was so excited about the endless possibilities to customize his device so he kept installing a lot of applications that caught his attention unaware of the dangers some apps can create on rooted smartphones. Finally, he installed an application called Font Changer Lite and that was when it all happened. After installing this app, his phone attempted to reboot and instead of booting normally, the phone froze at the Tecno logo. It wasn’t going passed that state. He couldn’t boot into his phone. Practically, his phone was bricked and had to look for a way to unbrick and use his phone again. If you are presently in the same limbo state as described, please follow the instructions below step by step to fix your device. I recommend reading through first before actually starting the process. Kudos to Seunpayne of Nairaland for uploading his files for download and also giving instructions on the usage....

Update: Effective 3rd of December 2013, Airtel BIS plans will stop working on non BlackBerry phones.  You are advised not to subscribe such plans in your non BlackBerry phone(s)  ------------------------------------------------------------------- It has being observed that as smartphones get better, offering outstanding screen resolution, better camera power and faster modems so also is the data consumed by these smartphones also rising.
